This shot makes me look forward to my August trip even more. The rock formations and colors in this area of Colorado, the south east part of Utah and north - northwest Arizona look so much alike that it is difficult to tell one from the other.
The colors and details in this shot are super, but I especially like the composition of this shot with its wide open sky, rugged mountains and rock formations that just hints at their height and the depth of the hidden canyons and valleys. The inclusion of that tiny portion of a manmade road serves to put it all in perspective and really illustrates our forefathers' courage and great achievements when they forged a path across this vast country of ours.

Ooh, this is really nice. I especially like how the sky adds to the photo. Nice work (as usual :-)

Yeah, that's the greatest challenge, isn't it? Trying to reflect the immense scale in a small 2D photo?
The road really does help to add to the perspective, Rob. Good job!

Grand pano indeed! Would be even better with more road and a little less sky?
I really need to put Colorado on my list of 'must get there soon'
