Thanks Kev! Yeah it's a beautiful place - the view from a place I call 'my hill'! A place for quiet contemplation, picnics and a glass or two of vino! (can't do cider these days - drank too much of it as a student!!) Look forward to seeing more of your portfolio - which is fab btw! Welcome to Usefilm too! (not that I've been a very active member these days! I'm hoping to change that from now on. :-) Cheers, Jo x

Oh no dear Aniko! I'm so sorry to hear that! You poor thing. I hope you're OK. Purple would be my choice too! Very swish! :-) At least you have colour co-ordinates! Wishing you the very best and that you're back with your camera very soon. Look forward to. (pls don't feel you need to type a response!)
Take care m'dear. Big hugs Jo x

Dear Jo!
I haven't been around much lately either. I broke my elbow just before Christmas and it is not healing. Will require surgery. Even typing hurts, but much worse, is not being able to hold a camera! :(
Best Wishes for 2008, my friend! Aniko :) x

Oh if she's this comment from you she will really be on my case to get over there LOL. And if you're ever back in Canada come to the nations capitol Ottawa. We're only 45 minutes away from there. Guy

Thanks so much Guy! Yes arrange that trip for your wife! Let me know if you decide to come to Edinburgh! Canada is also a very beautiful country I'd love to explore - I've only been to Toronto and Halifax - which I loved! Cheers, Jo

Many thanks Joe - your critique means a lot to me. That's exactly what I was looking for! I agree entirely with you. Wasn't sure what I could do to improve the sun being blown out? All feedback appreciated! Kindest, Jo

Very good shot, I love the foreground detail, the solid trees in the mid ground area and the misty landscape in the distance. Very good composition. Since this is a "Critiquer's Corner" image I will say the sun which is blown-out bothers me a bit. It would be better if the sun's brightness was diffused by a cloud or you waited until just after the sun drops below the horizon when it is still bright enough to take the shot and the colours may even be more vivid but the sun does not blow-out an area in image leaving no detail. Just my opinion Jo. All the best, Joe
