Real nice close up Joe, this is where the 300 F4 and the 5D really shine, close ups giving you the detail unattainable by many.

Thanks for your great review as always Michele. The lens is working out well. I had a fantastic day with it on Friday. When I saw the second peanut in this guys mouth I wondered if they ever require the Heimlich maneuver. :))))) All the best, Joe

Thanks so much Jan, as the about says I put some peanuts out and sat down near the feeder; before you know it, the blue jays are swooping for the kill. It's amazing what comes around if you just sit quiet for a few minutes. I saw lots of birds, a red squirrel came and sat a few feet from me and a chipmunk was busy eating the spilled bird seed under the feeder. Great way to spend some time early on a beautiful May morning. All the best, Joe
