Hi Srna,
The B&W gives the photo a hauntingly sad look to it, the placement of the bird in the top third seems to separate him from the safety and comfort of the trees, and indeed, gives a very lonely feel to the picture.

So many emotions dear friend... You have portrayed loneliness very well here... The bird looks like a dove or pigeon... and rarely are they alone...
The strong, grainy contrast, the b&W tones all bring that loneliness straight to the heart...

Impressive placement Srna, the bird and tree's branches EVEN the canbles are perfectly into the frame. Personaly I could prefere that shot doesn't so pixeled like, that ofcaurse is a personal taste and nothing else.

Hi dear Srna, This image does remind me of one you took a while earlier-- I think it was called 'Waiting + Loneliness' but I do remember it with the same lonely mood ... Excellent image regardless my dear---I do like the style and the mood is well shown...which is the hardest part of all sometimes.....You are very skilled at showing us images of emotions ... and this too is a gift I believe--- Emotions are not always so easy to show- We have become experts at hiding our real feelings more than not--- so this is definitely a compliment my dear Artistic Srna:))
I am not home yet, and I do worry when I get there that I could be dis-connected from the internet too...if not today maybe later in the afternoon, or tomorrow.... it is a monopoly in this town and the prices for cable and high speed interent are like a couple hundred dollars... we are fighting with the company every month - they claim they don't receive enough money---but yet we have to talk to people all over the world, Mexico, Philliphines, everyone says something else then every month the problem is not resolved.... Mostly I hate having to change my e-mail address -- as this high speed is just not all so speedy.
Sorry to go off on my internet problems.:((
