I assume too, James, that a shorter exposure time could have helped. I think that the contour lines at theborders of the crossing water stripes would be less visible, resulting thus in a more uniform trnsition between the stripes from the top-left to te bottom right, and the stripes from the top right to the bottom left.

This one may have benefited from a little less exposure time. Or maybe something could be done in the printing process. Film is a bit more forgiving in terms of excess exposure.
