love the composition...don't change a thing. the ground on the bottom is exactly what this image needed to maintain a grounding (no pun intended)to keep this image with a sense weight or else it would not have the impact that it does now.
The complimentary colors just add to the zing....love it

hi, simple but effective shot with good contrast of color...if were mine,i would crop up from bottom to remove the sliver of ground...not a biggy,but would polish the image...and i would clone out the plug? spot on the wall....

First thing I notice about that photo is the spot on the wall in the crack that is missing paint. My eye is drawn to that because of the contrast of color between the red and the cyan/turquoise. Also, the wall is at an angle from the camera causing the lines in to fade off in the distance. I personally think shots like this are best when all lines in the shot are squared off. It makes for a somewhat boring composition, but is still visually pleasing to the eye. Also a square crop of the image may work. Also watch your levels and contrast, the blacks are looking crushed on the monitor I'm using. The shot may look better as a B&W.

And while I have your attention, here is a shot that did not make the cut. I was trying to be interesting with the overall form, but somehow this just came out a dud. Maybe you have an idea on how to make this work.

Does the viewer really need to know how high off the ground the tree branches are? You get a sense of scale from the size of the bricks and the conduit running along the wall.
Sorry I don't know anyone in the IT industry. Just acquaintances, but no friends work in IT.

Yeah, I did think of it, but then how would you know the scale of the wall and how high the branch was off the ground? I left just a sliver so the viewer would know the context.

Very pretty contrast in colors! Well done! Something natural against something manmade, is even more of a contrast & a great parallel to the contrasting colors. Perfection!
