Thanks Doyle, glad you like it. This is at Howarth, (home of the Bronte sisters), it’s a private track run by enthusiasts on a volunteer basis. From being a hobby for ‘anoraks’ it’s developed into a fully functioning service used daily by the local people.

Regards,
Meg.

Perfect exposure Meg . . . the sun and shade through the steam really helps to accent it. Been a while since these old trains looked so new here!

Beautifully taken. It is very clear with the finest detail. I like the little bit of red and white steam which ads much interest .

Thanks Sam, glad you like it.
This is a very much alive Steam Train Only private line. The trains have been lovingly restored and now run regular daily services, they are well used by the local people and visitors alike.

I remember that railway too!
This one is the Worth Valley railway at Haworth, home of the Bronte sisters and about five miles from where I live.

People come from all over the world to walk the same path that Emily Bronte trod, that being the case it's strange how when this place is so close to home we rarely visit!

Very nice tribute of things almost passed. I like the crispy sharp details of this picture too.

Great nostalgia... it reminds me of travelling on the Festiniog railway in Wales as a kid.

Meg -- I am a big fan of old steam engines; great shot. The moon, the stars, actually the sun were just right and there you were. Well done!
