Hi Tim,
Some spots are just screaming to go back to whenever you can.... I remember this location from your photos from a while ago - with a closer POV to the main shoreline; (more to the left, that is). I rather like this, as it presents the viewer with a wider overview. Very good shot.
Cheers,
hugo

Hi Kess,
I have to confess that I prefer the 12-24mm over the 18-200mm. Yet the 18-200mm takes me to places i could not hope to get to easily these days physically. It seems adequate as a lens with the VR being a blessing. The barrel distortion on the zoom end is a bit more then i want but then it is a fairly inexpensive lens for what it can do. The other thing i find a bit irritating is the auto focus is very slow and hesitant, so slow that i find i shut it off and shot manual focus when bracketing. Granted i have not put it through all it's paces, mainly because it will take a while to gain a perspective as to what this lens will allow compositionally. I hope it will help me expand on the way i see the world and allow visions i had not viewed as possible. Overall i am very happy with it and it over laps my wide angle very well. With the two lens in my traveling bag I can envision so many possible compositions and that makes me feel happy!
