Very good night shot, and the snow looks great...that image looks like taken under IR...somehow anyway...perchaps because of the long exposure and the white (from snow) ground, very nice image Dave.
Best regards!

Very nice night shot! I seem to recall the slowest shutter speed is 2 sec. on the fuji..had you used a very high aperture on this the lights would have appeared as little starbursts, or most of the time this occurs. Maybe you can try it sometime, use the 2 sec and f8 or above>

Hi Dave! A very moody winter night shot ... love how the snow looks (mostly) so clean. Nicely composed with the road taking the viewer to the city :) Good work!

Hi Todd, thanks for the comment! The corner itself isn't visible, but the tallest buildings surround the famous intersection. You're right, it is windy with the streets and buildings causin a wind tunnel effect, but there's an underground concourse that's right underneath it and reachable from all sides.
Dave.

Dave,

Is the corner of Portage & Main visible in this picture? I hear it's a windy spot.

Dave: Looks almost as cold as here. We are considering doing the train to Churchill from Winnipeg to see the Polar Bears and birds along the way. Thanks for your comments on my woodpecker.

Hi Dave, Did you notice the difference between the look of the two images from panorama to normal. That different tone of grey in the pano version really makes a huge difference to the presentation of this image. It's kind of a good arguement for a large grey frame on this shot.
Looking good with either background, I certainly prefer the pano version.

It's a lovely sky line, nice night photography with excellent tones Dave...I really like this, it has an elegance and classic look...but all of that snow? Still? My sister is in Red Deer, Alberta, and she said it's warming up and the snow is finally starting to melt. Beautiful work again!! :)

Lovely city night view Dave.... very good choice of b/w tones, gives it a dramatic mood more than the colored versions.
Great work my friend,
Khaled.
