WOW, outstanding capture Peter, the snow really sets the whole compostion off nicely. The sharpness and color are fantastic too.I'd give anything to capture one of these guys. A 7+ in my book and a defenet faviorte. Bravo, Bill

Beautiful photo, Peter. Patience rewarded. Excellent lighting despite the cloud cover, with highlighting snow as well.
These birds are sure majestic. One day I got this close to a Golden eagle, and I noticed a porcupine quill sticking out of his head. No camera that day, but the spotting scope got me close enough to see it. Not, however, close enough to help at all.
