Thanks for the viewing Riny. I'm sure the ice is more than thick enough in Ottawa not to sure this would be the case in the Netherlands. :) :) I understand that your canals don't freeze solid enough to allow skating anymore.

Thanks for the comments and viewing Ina. With it being a sunny Sunday during Winterlude there were a lot of people skating. There were this many people or more all along the full the canal's 7km length. It wasn't too cold, the sun provided some warmth. When I took shots, I took my gloves off and my hands didn't get too cold.

Great picture of the skaters and the city, Joe! I like the POV you have showing the bridges and the Chateau Laurier - I've been there only in the summer or fall, and actually it's nice to see what happens in winter. That's quite a number of people, and I assume it was cold! Great atmosphere and perspective, Ina

Great shot of the rink and skaters, Joe! I like the way you've framed it with the bridge, and with the Chateau in the background it really identifies the location.
