Superb composition Don, in particular I notice and enjoy the winding line starting from the center and leading us on the right up to the horseman. I read about how this guy makes a living from this. Boy, the whole world is going Hollywood.

Ah, my favourite landscape. Just read your story of the man on the horse, and here I was thinking it was the ghost of John Wayne. He certainly gives the scenery that extra wow factor, not that it really needs it. Cheers, Ann.

Right time and right place. He goes out when Gouldings tours come by as they pay him. Don.

I hope to make it that way this year. The wife keeps talking about Hawaii. The last time we went to Maui I wanted to go to D.C. well I guess we might end up on a rock again. Excellent photograph and capture.

Hi Robert, I have been there three times and you never get over awe of the vastness of this area. Thanks so much for your very nice comments. It is not easy to convey in a picture what you really saw and felt. Don.

Hi Dave, what you need to do is drive to this area and wait until Gouldings tour bus comes along. The fellow on the horse will ride out for these people and you can get your pictures. Get out of there right away as the rider has his wife running around trying to collect from anyone else. I think we gave her a couple of dollars. Don.

A wonderful scenic view of this area, Don! You got a perfect sky to go along with the detail and colours of the land, and the figure on the horse emphasizes the vastness of the country. Well done! Dave.

Fabulous photograph, Don. Excellent view and light. I just need to ask one question. How much does it cost to get the guy on the horse to ride out on the point while you take the picture?? Lucky duck... great landscape.

The southwestern landscape does constantly astonish one with its beauty, but I've never seen that effect of "Surprise!" "Looky here!" captured so definitively.
