About A skull (two views) with my guess being that it is a canine - maybe coyote. I am thinking that the hunter became the victim here.

Cathy, it is a view from opposite sides stitched together in Photoshop. Any remaining seam was blended with the smudge tool. It is actually quite quick to do because the background is fairly random.

Thanks Ina! The other bones likely got scattered by all the wildlife. The image is stitched and any remaining seam blended with the smudge tool.

Excellent stitch Eb. If you have not stated that its the same skull nobody would notice. Great detail and subtle colour tones. Great abstract!

"Long in tooth and snout..." You don't remember that famous line, Paul?!

"Horatio: a fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy: he hath borne me on his back a thousand times; and now, how abhorred in my imagination it is! my gorge rims at it. Here hung those lips that I have kissed I know not how oft."

Those lines have special meaning for me, as I played the empathetic grave-digger beside Hamlet in our college production.

I don't remember him being THIS long in the tooth, though. ;)

This is intriguing. What do you mean "two views"? If it is one skull, then how did you do this? Double exposure in the camera? Spliced images in photoshop. I can't see any evidence of how you did it. Cool. CC

Wow, very realistic image Eb! The skull seems pretty intact, I wonder where the rest of the body is? Did you stitch the two images? Nice color leaves and green sprouts, a reminder that new life comes back in a cycle of life and death. Pretty powerful image :) Best regards, Ina

Eb - A really "radical" photo for you. I like it! I agree that these are canines. The bed of organics provides nice contrast.
