Thank you Leonie. Strangely I see far more of these when I'm in Spain than I do at home in the UK. These were once in every English country garden but now seem to be out of favor, but I still grow them myself... Meg. :)

Yes I can Meg... ~~GRIN~~... I Hi'd back...
Beautifyl colours, light and detail...:) Always tall, elegant stunners... Strangely, haven't seen any Gladiola here, as in Aussieland, for a long time... Every garden had them once...
Extra nice macro Meg...:)

Thanks JD. I'm not too good at layers, I usually just crop resize and sharpen in Photoshop. Guess it's time for some 'light' reading, I'll get the Photoshop book out. :-))

I'm not an expert Meg, you should ask Carl Yeager, a master in this regard; but i think that when you add some text (in PS) you are creating a new layer; then you should change the degree of fusion between the layers to get the effect you want...jd

Yes I agree about the green, I'm trying to find a good and easy way of watermarking...any ideas?

yes, excellent; I think the green color of the signature is too hard (but this an opinion unrelated with the picture itself) :)...jd

Hi Tony, this is a singal flower on a gladiola flower stem. They grow in many gardens here in the UK but this one was in a garden at Mijas Golf, the bright sunlight really made it sparkle.
Thanks for your kind comments, they are much appreciated.
