Oh really? Well, I know that lots of people find it very appealing with strong contrast. I do too in some cases, but sometimes it ruins a fine soulful dreamy photo if too much contrast is added. In this photo I was adviced to add more contrast, but I think I like the original one just as much being more delicate and soft. Good luck and thank you for commenting:-)

I often get (negative) comments about the contrast of my photographs. I have photographed women and girls professionally for years and have what I think is a beautiful contrast in the prints, but when I upload they often do look a little dull. Best wishes, you have some wonderful photographs.

Thank you, Doyle. I´m so glad that you enjoy my oceanphotos, as I also feel that they´re the best photos that I´ve taken so far. And yes you´re right - it´s nice with a photo that gives the spectator something to contemplate about. I wish I knew how to do this every time. Best wishes Annemette

Annemette. Forget about the technical aspects of the shot. The concept is, in my opinion, VERY good. Top notch in fact. The branch . . . the child . . . the sea . . . WOW. This may well be one of your strongest images because it allows everyone to draw out their own symbols . . . to 'read' it they way they choose. But the water looks cold . . . ;)

Hello, Annemette,
The image relays tender feelings and is quite symbolic.
Technically, JPG compression artifacts spoil the perception. Of course, when viewed at some distance, not up close, this is irrelevant.
Kind Regards, Konstantin
