Phew......glad you didn't take it wrong. Eventualy it's not a question of being pro or not. More an inside feel and experience with photomanipulation. Comes with time, just be patient. First rule...you must like it, not us since all comments are per definition subjective. Colourversion looks better, yes. Grtz,
Alain

Hi Cliff, I like the photo very much but I tend to agree with Alain. Having seen the colour version I do like that better. Sylvia

Hey this is one of your best shots! I like this combination of your dog and the wild creek. Had you caught its attention, it would have been even better, but then it would must likely have run to you:-) Best wishes Annemette

Hi there Cliff, you know I'm keen on B&W so that's already good:) A beautifull dog, wild landscape, a willing photographer,... Only pity that your friend doesn't really comes out of the picture. Why...I think for two reasons. First of all the dog and background have similar tones and secondly the background is too distracting. I you watch the difference between upperpart and lowerpart, in the lowerpart the dog stands out, as in the upperpart he's almost camouflaged. I think this one could be better in colour or make the part behind the dog lighter. Now this is perhaps not what you wanted to hear, but should I lie to you and say " Wow, great shot, magnificent DOF, blablabla, etc...? I don't think so for it wouldn't help you a bit. So I hope you see this comment as constructive and not destructive, ok? But keep up the good work my friend, we all learn everyday a bit more! Friendly grtz,
Alain
