Joggie, these birds are ubiqitus. There is always the temptation to photograph them in a novel context. The panning would be more successful if I were to plan ahead. Thanks for your comment.

Eb - I got a malard shot like this a couple of years ago and was suprised by the result. This is really a nice shot. It should be added to your "wall" collection.
