Hi Michele.
This image really emphasises the winter cold. That's thanks to the blue tones and darkness of the picture. I think Riny's version is technically better, but it does lose some of the cool atmosphere your version displays.
This photo shows that nessa's images may have become a bit of an influence on you - blue/purple tones with overall darkness and areas of 'magic light.'

Well this was my first day in probably 4 yrs. so it was exciting , invigorating... and wonderful. I used to live in snow and ski a lot... and you're right it's wonderful for taking pictures!!!

I don't know about you but I am loving this snow... it is so great to finally hear forecasters in CO and NM talk about what a great run off we'll have this spring...
I've had some great mornings like this, wake up to find a very heavy icing on all the plants and branches... makes for excellent photos!

Thank You Anni.... It was really dry snow, and so invigorating ..I played around in it all day...You and Anna Sophie would both like it.. I would miss it too if it was always like this !!

Michele -- This is beautiful as it is as it seems to paint a mysterious and snowy fantasy land. Although the "heavy" blue cast may be unintentional it works well for this photo.
As for Riny, I have no idea; hope he is returning but his message on his user profile does not sound promising.

NIce one, Michele! THanks for sharing. I miss the snow here - it´s almost like autumn with heavy rain and storms. Lats winter we had four months full of snow and ice though in a row. My little Anna Sophie is asking for the snow.

Hi riny I don't mind at all. I am flattered and wanting to learn more to shoot better. All I know about this image was it is taken with my old camera...which has been giving me trouble for awhile. My new camera I haven't added the software on the pc yet to transfer images.. >>this afternoon I will))... then I'll know if it's the camera, or me with-out the right programs...
Any suggestions at all are always appreciated . I haven't read enough about digital photography either :(

verry nice shot. seems a little blue i realy hope you dont mind but i put you photo through photo shop and adjusted the contrast, histogram, and recroped it just to make an example. from what ive ben learning in a digital photography book.
