Thanks Dave...:)

The coloured version appealed to some and I liked both,so, that's why the double upload ~~GRIN~~... B&W always evokes a completely different emotion...

Appreciate your comment Sir as always...:)

Fabulous abstract, so "montage-like". Each and every one of the timbers has its own design, making this so interesting. Also like your choice of black and white.....

Best wishes to you,
Dave Arnold

Ah incredible how such lumber can look fantastic in B/W and cropped in this way emphasizing a pattern. Great work!
Best wishes

I think the B&W version really brings out the patterns made by the splits in the wood. Twenty slabs of wood - all the same and yet so different. Excellent work.

Hi Gary... ~~GRIN~~... Glad you like Sir... Makes it a lot easier tho' when they present themselves as this did... Just aim and shoot... :) but if they were all that easy, photography wouldn't be fun...

First it was the stack of timber and then the grain presented... :)

Appreciate your kind comment, thank you...:)

I love B&W also Liz... :) The depth and mood is totally different... Our emotions & imagination have to work harder, and together, to pull it in visually... If that makes sense... LOL...

Thanks kindly for the comment Liz... :)

Thank you kindly Peter... :)

I was pleased with the composition on this... plus the textures... it created a pleasing visual plus all I had to do was aim and shoot... Lazy ;)...

The previous version was a corker but it also deserved a black and white version with the right amount of contrast to bring out those swirly patterns and textures. Which is what you've given us here. Cheers.
Regards, Gary

It still has all that great texture, while being combined wtih wonderful tones...but I am biased, cause I always favour b/w :)
