About This is a catch of a hawk in a wooded area of Brackenridge Park near downtown San Antonio on summer afternoon. He was wrestling with a small snake.

Guess who won.

What a great strong capture. I love this pose. Was this instructional at all? LOL The way you've been going at it, it would not be suprising.......Just kidding with ya!!! Wonderful.

Well, if I was better at taking bird pics, I would more than just 3 or 4 in my portfolio. ;)

I was just lucky, as he was near the road in the park, and I quickly popped on my 300mm zoom lens. I seldom go out looking for birds (well, the winged kind, anyway).

Happy New Year!

Thanks, Tania. I give the hawk all the credit for this one, for acting like such ...a ...well, HAWK. :)

What a moment to capture..it is so interesting to see nature at work, and "who is who" in the food chain. Nice capture :)

Very nice, mostly the moment here ...about the opened wings, landing or perchaps streching!
Good capture and perchaps here needs a bit more clarity, ok surely does not helps you the lighting and generaly the conditions.
Best wishes!
