Thank you John (I think) . . . :)
Like you . . . I often shoot impulsively. As I do this . . . and look at what I shot . . . I see where it may have been made better . . .

Very much like the shot here . . . I would say these things to myself . . . and then reshoot or not . . . but remember
Until - shooting this from instinct - or something like it, in the future, would be more routine . . . still gut shooting but with an instinctive and educated edge.

So enjoy shooting - THAT'S essential . . . but enjoy reviewing and look into re-shooting on ocassion. Might be fun too.

Oh! . . . and I prefer clever and unique - even genius . . . to bizarre. (For the record).

. . . and you meant "vast knowledge of 'SEEMINGLY' worthless information." I'm unaware of the meaning of "wealth of misinformation" . . . likely an error on your part (I state superciliously)

Regards,
Doyle I<~~~~~

Doyle, I am truly impressed that you would take the time to share such an in-depth review of my work. Thank you. I must confess also that this, as well as most of my portfolio, is a shot on impulse. I find that the more I study a shot, the less pleasureable I find my photography. However I enjoy your technical input, bizarre (?)sense of humor, and am in awe by your vast knowledge of worthless information. You are one of the most interesting (and entertaining) of UF characters, and a true wealth of misinformation. Looking forward to more of your antics (and good work)I am....

Hi John:

I keep looking at this from time to time and have been thinking about it too. It's very attractive and as a thumbnail . . . almost hypnotic. I really good ide in my opinion. The transluscence and overlaying stones give us a variety of shades and a pretty good range .

The BG is an almost graduated hue of blue . . . or light central blue with vignetting of darker blues at the perimeter. Dropping the blue there might allow a variety of colors to show . . . keeping it will permit a uniformity of sorts . . . interlocking them by color. On looking, though, the orange, green and amber seem to be the accents . . . and they're kinding swimming in all the blue. I'm not sure if it wouldn't be a very good idea to add a tad more faint light - say a bounced or diffused white to gently (and VERY slightly) increase the lighting on the top and pull aout accents even more. Just something to think on!

Oh, and John? What's with that right side crop? Personally, I hate to see objects cut by the crop so I'd consider re-organizing the arrangement so they're all in . . . well . . . I'd really probably even set them out so they cut through the composition diagonally and are cut on BOTH sides.

Anyway . . . I find this idea very intriguing!

Regards,
Doyle I<~~~~~

Thank you Ali, oddly enough I just "dumped" (ever so delicately) the pile onto the lightbox, no pre-arrangement.... Sorry I can't take that credit! Hmmmmmmm nice idea though :> -john

Thank you my dear nessa, much of it "relieved" from Spanish galleons as booty off the coast of Cornwall by pirates singing Zeppelin songs of yore! (?)-john
