Must be getting crowded round these flowers with all those photographers jostling for position! Still, seems Gumby loves all the attention.
This is a great shot with the two main elements nicely composed along the diagonal. The bird stands out well against the blur of the background, as does the flower, although I feel both the flower and the bird (excluding wings!) could be a tad sharper. I'd have thought the settings you quote should have been about right though...

Thanks Michele.....the blood pressure was getting extremely high....probably the long work hours were not helping. For the remained of the month I am taking 1/2 days off on Fridays and Mondays to use some vacation time. The Friday before Christmas and New Years I will be off the whole day as my office is already closed 1/2 day. Still have to do my job, but will make sure I take some time each day out for me to relax.

excellent capture Marlyce ... I hope that you are alright ? I'm happy to hear you will have more time to spend on UF but maybe not if a doc had to tell you ? So good to see your excelelnt work again !
