Hi Doyle,
I am well aware of the light polution problem in your area, and we suffer from it somewhat in Ottawa. Fortunately, if we drive for 1 to 3 hours, we can reach pristine skies with a LM of about 7.2. This picture was taken near Arnprior, approximately 1 hours drive from my front door under mag 6.2 skies. Don't be too envious though. We also have on average very few cloudless nights in the Ottawa Valley due to the surrounding geography and local weather patterns. I have only been able to observe twice in 2006!

Wow! Cool shot. Here in LA where the ambient light makes the night sky look gray we get very little detail . . . nothing worthy for sure. One needs to leave to see and this is a cool shot . . . with the 300mm? Wow.
Regards, Doyle I <~~~~~

Dave,
Turn your binoculars to the night sky and you will be amazed what you see.
Glad to see you back. New computer, or did you revive the old one?

I don't think I've ever seen quite so many stars, Todd! Well done! Dave.
