YES!!!! You get it! I use a lot of words to try and make my point. But, if ya look at my pics... they say the same thing without having to explain them. You are correct/right. Take what you see and show what you have.... the "pure" shot is far more interesting than what folks are doing in the post processing mode.

Olives = salt. Salt = good beer... you will like it.

As I happened to read your comments here after I posted my last one I must say that I feel the same way about my collection too. Point & click & hope for the best is always the best. What one really saw, unedited. Makes it so much more exciting to see what will happen with each one. How it is really judged on what you real saw. Like getting an A at something you really studied for so to speak.

At first in the smaller image I thought the composition was with the perspective of the people then now I see the olives. Great picture either way but never heard of olives. How odd, makes me wanna try it & see.

Hmmmm (rubs chin wiff right hand in that "thoughtful" way) will pack a bit of black velvet next time I do the olive/beer bit (and that might be at any moment...I do so like me beer) and give it a bit of background... now I am back to view more of yer posts.

hi Jim-- nah, I wasn't suggesting photoshopping, more like staging... it's such a great concept here-- it works, anyway. nicely done.

Yes, artistically it would look better against a black background...

but there was not a black background to be had. If you are new to my pics I have to tell you... I do NOT do photo post-editing. I take the shots as I find them. I do not alter or adjust my images. I present them as I find/see them. I really, really try and make the simple and everyday stand out. I am not always successful... Still, I post as I see and shoot as I find. Go through my work... it is as pure and honest as I can present. Everyday, life as found... but hopefully with a bit of twist.

Hi Jim... I like the little beer bubbles on the olives... this would look really good against a solid black background. it would set the olives off nicely.
