Excellent capture Chris,love the natural setting
of the background and the wing position.
How fast is the 80-400 for in flight capture?
The 300/4 is so slow but gives excellent image and sharpness.

I shoot Aperture Priority 5.6/6.3 @ iso 400.
If light really low push up ISO and use a noise remover.

Thanks, Yamil. I'll try the larger aperature-- I have been frustrated with the lack of sharpness sometimes. I look forward to seening more of your shots from today, and maybe Marcus, Rich and Jinggoy will be posting some of their shots from today, too...

Nice reflection and composition.
My only advice is for birds in fligh, instead of F/11, use F/5.6. That will increase your sharpness.
That's another valuable lesson I got from Marcus.
Keep them coming, you are doing a great job.
