Christine: Neat!! The bird seems in a hurry. I don't think I've ever seen a Green Heron fly. They are usually quite calm. Thanks again for your comments.

Thanks, Mark... I'm just learning the bird thing(I only started shooting them a couple of weeks ago). In fact, a birder told me that there was a green heron around the corner, and I was looking for a green version of a great blue heron-- I didn't know that I had managed to get a shot of one until I looked up the pics in a bird book...I wouldn't have noticed the birds before I started taking pictures of them... But... YOU have bald eagles!! I don't see any in the wild by me.
Good luck, and hopefully I'll get to see more of your eagle shots in the future!

Christine, this is another great shot. Your bird shots are wonderful. I am new to shooting them and it's nice to see such great stuff. I just wish I had the places you have in California! Really great bird/wildlife shots are hard to come by around here.
