Pat, this is a handheld photo, hence no mirror lockup. With VR, the 1/60 sec. macro hold is quite doable! Whenever, I use the tripod, I do use mirror lock-up, too. I think you found that the tripod mount on the lens is not as stable as it looks! The camera/lens assembly vibrates like a tuning fork! (I have not spent any time on usefilm in quite a while. I have been busy and the weather has been horrible. I will try some uploads soon as I can.) Eb

It must have been a relatively calm day to get this sharpness. I assume you used the mirror lock-up feature? I have found that it really increases detailing in my 200mm micro.
