Wow, I just checked out your portfolio. I really like what you are doing with photoshop. I have to stop being so afraid of playing with my shots. I'm still trying to figure out a lot of what photshop has to offer. I wish it had come with a manual.

It's hard to say exactly without seeing the actual background but I have found that putting the background in a soft blur or even making the background blk and wht really makes the subject pop but still keeps it in its element.
For example I took a shot of a girlfriend during her wedding dance and everyone was surrounding her but she was the main focus. I kept her in vibrant color but put everything else in blk & wht and it really made her pop. Everything else becomes an afterthought. She really loved this effect and it was something her own paid photographer would never have thought of.

thanks Kimberly, hey did you know you hit it right on the button....the original photo was a parade (about 2 years ago in White Plains, NY0 but background was just too busy....I thought the cloudy beach day because of the umbrellas... thanks for looking...cheers

Love, love, love the color and softness of the girls. Unsure of the beach though. Another choice for backdrop maybe. On grass or maybe street setting as though it were a parade, maybe. Just a thought. Overall great capture, though.
