My dear Ken, I think one of many facts that makes me think more about you is your name! maybe it looks really ridiculous but, My Zodiac sign is Leo and I probably Love everything related to this sign, for example you last name is Leone! Anyway, hands on work ;) I love to be on details! not because of just curiosity, but, I think life is hidden behind details we ignore every moment, and suddenly, one day I just stopped to ignore them anymore! looking to every little think like it's a vital matter for surviving my relation between my Body, souls and the universe. You can't even imagine I'm so so happy talking to you, not only because I'm talking the way I love, but also because I think you will understand what I say (and probably knew it before beginning). anyway, Thanks for attention to this cast away image! Mohammad

I agree with everything stingRay said earlier. The texture of the wall is fascinating, and the diagonal shadow really grabs me.
From the thumbnail, I thought this was going to be an overhead shot of a desert animal casting a long shadow. Once I saw it, I still couldn't quite figure it out. At first, it looked like a beetle with tracks left in the sand--each half of the screw looked like the folded wing of a beetle. The screw has the same texture and color as the background, so I had trouble identifying what it was until I read your comments. Don't misunderstand me--I really LIKE the fact that my mind can/has to go through all these ideas as part of the process of understanding the picture. That's why I think this is a wonderful abstract and rate it a 7.
I like the title too--very clever. It refers only to the resulting graphic image, and ignores the reality of what was photographed. I think I'm beginning to better understand your idea of photographs "without context."
You have a great eye, to be able to pick out this image from what is probably a fairly dull looking wall. Photographers need to learn how to see things like this in the middle of a cluttered world. This is something you do very well.

Profound words and very thought provoking Mohammad. I love the heavy textures on the wall and I love in particular the long diagonal shadow cast by the screw.......A well shot photographic opportunity and an excellent creative abstract. Great work my dear friend........Very best wishes.....Ray:)

You are most welcome,Mohammed....hopefully this will put an end once and for all this childish behavior...some people have way too much time on their hands and like a toddler acting out for attention, try their best to ruin the environ for the rest of us....for what it is worth since all opinions about artistic merits of any art are purely subjective, your work is creative and you seem to have a good understanding of the technical side,too....keep posting and never let those who envy your talent,or can't comprehend what you wish to convey, make you doubt for a second your photography skills/artistic sensibilities or eagerness to learn more...... peace, gayle

Rash...er,Teerak,one does not have to be a major brainiac to see thru your comments which leave no doubt of bordering on and often crossing over the line of harrassment...UF does not allow such behavior no matter how you try to disquise it...please refer to the UF policy/FAQs to learn the site rules...Mohammed has asked you repeatedly to refrain from leaving your comments on his images and you have continued to ignore his requests....i have no qualms about contacting AL,the admin,to lodge a formal complaint if you persist with this immature, obnoxious and flat out harrassing behavior....be sure to get a good translation of this as i would not want you to misunderstand one word......
sorry,Mohammed to leave this on your image page, but he/she isn't fooling many of us and it is high time someone says something about "the elephant in the room", if you catch my drift?...
Please ignore his?(her)comments, difficult to tell with alias accounts...just send a formal complaint to AL at suggest@usefilm.com
peace,gayle
(i just moved,so not back here regularly yet)

Dear Teerak, I don't feel any force to follow the simple rules you have to make an image in focus. my shot has the exact focus on what I WANT, not you. but, it's not amazing if you say it's poor. it's your constant idea which I told you I don't need, but, you want to go on this manner...

I do not know what would you call this dear Mohammad?
Is this really an image of talent or any skill, or just a poor out focus rushed capture which have no value of being posted here?
Please have a nice day and never mind my comment, this is how I feel about this work.

also the screw rotates stuck on planet earth: 1.674 km/h whirling around itself, 30 km/second on its route around the sun. :))
