About	This red bridge is to be found on the grounds of the Shomyo Temple in southern part of Yokohama. It is a very old temple, founded in the 14th century by one of the powerful clans living at that time in the area. There were two bridges, this big one and a smaller one. The smaller one had to be dismantled a few years ago as it was in an advanced stage of degradation. This one, still standing, is not faring so well and its time to disappear is not too far away. Meanwhile, I was lucky to get this beautiful image on a recent sunny day. The bridge looks like shining in the mellow light.

I was very pleased to see this bridge. My niece just celebrated her wedding at Garden Falls in New Jersey where there is a similar bridge that I used for her photography.

Now I know the origin. And the setting is quite similar...so peaceful and spiritual for any time of day...as in your beautiful photo.

A beautiful reflection shot, Yoshiyuki! I like your composition on this one, and the way the reflection completes the shape of the bridge. Great colour contrast with the greens in the background, too.

It's not common that the reflected colours are more stark and vivid than the real. A nice photo, Yoshiyuki.
