The number/strength of artificial lights has been the same as in the other phgoto, Doyle. At least as far as I can say. But this one was at6 about 19:30h while the other was at 05:30h. So it seems that the relative amount of artificial to natural light was the reason for the differences. I assume that under a very weak natural light (like on the other photo) the influence of the reflection of artificial light on the dust/moisture mixture in the air is much more effective than under stronger natural light (like on this picture).
But I'll have to try these shots again in order to understand that.
What a nice mystery hunting can photography be!
As about the colors, I also find them special on this photo. But the other one also has its specialties, and so I can hardly say which of both is better. This one seems warmer to me. Much less solitude feeling than the other one, for my eyes!
Thanks a lot again and take care,
Nick

MUCH better shot. It must have to do with the increased artificial light sources. If true . . . it likely WOULD repeat each time. I noticed differences in the various lights as well. The high lights are warmer and they are sandwiched between the low, cool lights coming from the entryways and the cooler color of the sky. This sandwiching of warm and cool lights . . . and increased reliance on the artificial light due to time changes you mentioned, in my opinion, may well be the culprit causing the blue haze. You'll note it even severely affected the wall colors. I like this one!

The only difference was that I shot that much earlier. This one was at about 19:30h while the other was at about 05:30h. So it must have to do with the relative amounts of natural/artificial light?
Thanks again and take care,
Nick
