I was worried about getting this shot and am still amazed I managed such good focus. I was so close to this little critter with my 50mm macro lens and had to work SO fast as it wasn't staying around long with me "intimidating" it close range.
I am still a tad disappointed I did not get the entire wing in, but thems the breaks... lol... When another dragonfly is spotted (not in flight) in my garden, I will go for another shot!!! :)

Ahh Dave... I can still surprise you??? Good! :)
I like shoot whatever I see if it stays still long enough... :)
Anyway, you ought to know I love nature and am a country/mountain girl... :)
Basically I only use the 50mm Rokkor macro lens as it is a high quality one and does the job. But some other macros I've used are those ones in my zoom lenses, and I have lost count of how many I have...
