Hi Dave ... we´ve had our first snow a couple of days ago, too! Wish I could witness a scene like this - no deers around my place, though. A wonderful cutie admiring the white landscape!

Hi Dave, I'm just getting home from a trip to the Smokies...as you know. Anyway as I try and catch up I thought I'd comment on this. I don't think I've ever seen a better pose of a deer in the wild. You must have snuck up on this little critter in the snow? Exellent exposer in tough lighting too. Congrats. Bill

I can't believe that you have that much snow already my dear Dave.....The only positive note to that is that you will be out there grabbing some great Winter shots for us to see. This is a very lovely wildlife portrait study my friend, the doe looks quite contented lying there but I cannot imagine that she is. Well seen and captured, all the best.....Ray:)

Excellent capture Dave. Great composition and details. We have plenty of mule deer here but not the white tailed, and I am glad we don't get snow in the Bay Area... At least not where I live. Take care buddy. Yamil

Nice shot Dave, looks like you are very close, and the deer hardly looks bothered. Nice exposure and detail, good catch. Looks like quite a dumping of snow, get the snowshoes out.

Nice one Dave! The deer looks as stunned as we all do when winter first arrives! ps Are you going to put a summer image in your bio now, or just leave the winter one up? I guess you did the equivelant of leaving the Christmas lights up all year until the time is right :) Andre
