Dear Tim , thankyou so much for the guidance. Why should I mind. I regard you as one of my teachers in Photography. I have taken a print out and will try following your technique.
This photo is merged wsith the free "auto stitch" freeware. it merges the image beautifully but saves only at 72 dpi.
I have re done the whole thing in Photoshop Photomerge and will email you that picture.

This is a great composition. Although it looks like you used Photoshop to lighten up the foreground using the magic wand to grab the darkened areas. Might I suggest using the lasso instead and stay back from the edge that you want to influence by 60-100 pixels. you can be very approximate in doing this and fairly quick. once you have captured the area you want. Then right click on that area and select feather. Once the feather box pops up choose 60 pixels or so. After that, proceed to use curves or levels to bring up the highlights and or the midtones to create a little more foreground interest as you have done with the buildings. Using this technique you will not generate that white line around your silhouetted trees in the foreground. I hope you don't mind me pointing this out to you, as I think this shot is worth a mention, as it is so very good. P.S. this was instructions for a PC not Mac. but the theory would be the same just a slightly differing process.
Cheers, Tim

Splendid! Excellent panoramic view of Mt. Kanchanjangha with great color management and DOF. Also, the details in the darker region of foreground enhanced the image. Great work and this is good enough to win another award from UF. truly brilliant. wish you all the best. I think this is one of the best Mt Kanchanjangha pics in the recent past. Wish you all the best. Certainly goes to my fav list Bhabesh
