Charlie - Thanks. Yeah, the SD550 has no lens cap, per se. It's one of those retractable lens things with in integrated cap. But I could rig something up that fitted over it and into which the peephole (never discarded!) could be set. I agree with you, though: the double image shot is pretty cool. Ooh. I could install twin peepholes. Or a trinity. Or one hundred. Moohoohahaha!

well i wouldnt say i was considering tossing the idea, just post ponening it. i mean really, who would ever consider tossing the peep hole idea :)
soon as i get settled in with my move i will get back to photography and even finally post pictures to my account here.
on another note, i was searching for some other peep hole images and i saw that some people put a hole into their lens caps and screwed it in, that might work for SD550, but it will be seeing through the peephole only, and i very much like the way you did it with the peephole view and the normal lens view.

Sara - I think that was what Charlie had in mind when he removed the peephole from his door. I'll look forward to seeing what you come up with. I am still waiting for Charlie to shoot some with it. A lot to look forward to.

Michele - Thanks. All the credit for the idea goes to Charlie. He was having trouble figuring out how to make it work and was even considering tossing the idea aside.
He handed his camera and the peephole to me and maybe a dozen frames later we were laughing and very excited.
You have to have a fairly good diameter lens to get this to work well--it didn't work with my SD550.
See you around.
