Aniko - Thank you. Slightly dark offers detail to this kind of work.

Much of your work is dark James... what does "too dark" mean? I think it's great!

Yes, I see that now, thanks a lot James!
I think that these two lights are simply too "singular". If they could only appear as a bundle, in some sense like those bundles over her head!
Ciao,
Nick

Nick - Thanks. If you look at her ear you will see another small bit of golden light. I would never think of cloning them out, though you may be right in that people may find them detracting.

Marian - Thank you. I was pretty sure it was going to work out well. On a large clear monitor there is a lot of detail to be seen. I can hardly wait to see it as a print.

Very "airy", very "untouchable", almost the capture of a though. A very suggestive photo with all elements of modern photography that could also be the front page of some photo magazine.
I only find the golden light at the right just in front of the face not very fitting there, but it's only a small detail.
Best wishes,
Nick

Duncan - Oh, yeah--the shroud of turin. Hehe.
I read a great set of articles called "A History of the Warfare of Science with Theology in Chistendom" (A D White) which was written over 100 years ago. Great stuff. One story about the supposed bones of the 100 vestial which turned out to be about 50-50 male-female bones comes to mind. Good read (two volume set) if you're into that sort of thing (one of my BA's is in the History and Philosophy of Science).
I think this one will make a much better print than what it displays here because printing it will allow a larger image and more of the detail will become available.
See you around.

This is a very impressive image, James.
It is very reminescent of that "Tapestry of Christ" that was so in vogue about 10 years ago, until someone did a analysis of the cloth with a mass spectrometer and discovered it wasn't old enough to be a real item made in 31 BC.
I like the illuminated smoke and that stange little lignt skism on the right. Adds a little mystery to the composition.
Extremely well done, in either the project you chose, or "Unusual Vision" category.

Roger - Yeah, this one is pretty dark. Even on a regular monitor it's pretty dark. Probably make a nice (large) print for this reason--then all the odd details will come to life.

Barbara - If you want to remember your dreams better you'll have to write them down. The act of writing them will help you remember the dream you are writing about (of course) but that action of waking then writing will set your brain to be prepared for it so the act of writing them down will become easier (it will make you 'dream more' which just means 'remember them').
So the moment you wake up, pull a notebook off your nightstand and jot down some notes--whatever you happen to remember. Over time it will get better and better.
I did this for a while and was able to remember many details from long (wandering) dreams--enough to write them down. I was able to dream lucidly some times too. It was all very interesting.

Yes, I know what you mean, just last week I dreamed all night, and was woke up quite a few times, but I couldn't remember what I was dreaming about, make me mad, guess I wasn't suppose to remember.
