and that it is.

great tone and presence. I had an image of a male lion at the zoo. It was the same deal- thank goodness for that thick plexiglass. It is fun to be that close to such a wonderful beast.

cheers,
nicole

This animal has to be OLD, as he has long ear hair and even long chin hair, I'm painting from the pic by Rich Swammer (with permission) and I'm going to include the extra hair! Excellant exposure, through glass, huh?

Stunning Jason... :)

They are such magnificent animals... and you have captured that essence visually here... The eyes so watchful, taking in the information before it... Details are magic...

Sad, behind bars... Glad, because if not behind bars, then we may never have the luxury of these animals, and many more species, at all...

Onie...

Jason, my kids absolutely love animals. They always love going to the Zoo. They saw this photo while I was browsing your folio (big thumbs up by the way) a couple of days ago, and they were mesmerized. They keep asking me to show them your photo. So, I guess what I'm trying to say is that not only does this image appeal to me, but to my kids as well.

Be good!

Thanks for that Liz, this was a shot that i did whilst doing a Black and White course a while back and never post( don't know why) it was a shot taken on the last week of the course and blew a complete portfolio out of the water, it be came the benchmark for the portfolio lotta work in a little time to get five shots of this calibre. I'm finally getting around t ogetting an enlargement for me of a 16x12 for the wall to replace the 8x10.

Beautiful shot of this beautiful animal, Jason! I wouldn't have though it a great subject for b/w, but you've proved me wrong on that one!
