Thank you Michele. I took several shots making the focus on the male and then the female to make sure I got some good ones. I would not have seen her had she not moved when I was standing there.

Very good shot... what a good mate he is. The female was really camoflauged very well couldn't even see her in the thumbnail !

Thank you Hanna. My previous pictures from a few days ago has a close up of the female. With some many comments I had to show the protective male. She was really tucked back in there safe and sound.

Am I seeing double? :) You captured a great family scene here, and the birds make a nice diagonal, with the male being so sharp & clear and the female blending with the shady backround.
