Oh, many of my outdoor shots were shot with a polarized filter for deeper colors. This, I believe, is one of them.

I absolutly LOVE my S9000. Cheaper than an SLR, but great quality. The 9 Megapixels works well for cropping in close (see my picture of my pet fish). Though the files always have to be resized for email or the web.
I took 800+ shots while in Maine for a week, and could only fit about 100+ on a CD :)

Delicious, plentiful, and cheap! The homes on this island have such beautiful wild gardens. It's paradise!
