Fascinating composition Hanggan. Strong diagonal rail lines intersected by diagonal of the stairs and risers . . . off-center composition as it regards the male figure and the cropped bare feet of the lady on the stairs makes an intriguing accent which (as pointed out before) does make one think. Very unique.

Very interesting composition and I keep thinking about the possible interpretation behind the image. I know that it may not have any intentional message, but the man, sitting comfortably in the foreground and the woman, barefoot, on the stairs, anonymous, behind bars...
Your images always make me think and that's why your work is, personally, so important.
Great tonal range and nice grainy effect.
