I love the scenery. But, i have to agree with some of the other comments. The top of the hills like they have a dark painted line somehow. MAkes it look a tad unnatural. MAry

Agree with Paul and Laura on the intense blue - based on how it looks on my monitor, the scene looks much more realistic looking at the small upload you posted in your reply to a comment. Great perspective and, of course, proud of you for getting up/staying up to catch this shot!

It does look better to me Rob. Now that I look again, it may also just be your exposure that threw me off because the upper colors looks so smooth :)

Hey Rob, Normally, I love your blue skies, but in this shot, it seems to overpower and seems inconsistent with the rest of the image. I feel the colors are a bit oversaturated for this one :) I think capturing the natural colors from the rising sun without a polarizer would've been sufficient for this particular shot. Just my thoughts :)

Hi Rob, wonderful scape of Crater Lake. The colors from the clouds add nice warmth to the otherwise cold feeling from the foreground. I agree the colors look a bit weird on my end, but perhaps just an effect of the polarizer.

Thanks a lot for the compliment Paul. I am not sure how it looks on your side. I of course had a polarizer on for this shot and the angle of the shot relative to the sun really allowed for the colors to pop when I adjusted the levels. The one thing about the shot that I am bumming about is the f-stop; 3.5 and that it was a hand held shot; before I used a tri-pod; the total rookie mistake.

what a payoff for arriving early, Rob! this is really stunning, but I'm confused at the bright horizon and how it doesn't match with the deeper blue overhead...was that maniuplated? If so, I don't think it's necessary.
