Dave,
It's a shorebird of some kind, but I'm not sure exactly. This area is a smorgasbord for Merlins in late August/early September. I spent a few weekends here and got pictures of Lesser Yellowlegs, Semi-palmated Sandpipers & Plovers, Least/Spotted/Solitary Sandpipers, not to mention Great & Little Blue Herons, Osprey, Green Herons, Gulls, Ducks....

Beautiful shot Todd. That 300mm f/2.8 sure does take nice shots when guided by someone who knows what he's doing! Congratulations on a wonderful shot.
