This is a text-book photo of strip mining. Techincally it's fine, but it lacks surprise and drama. I'd like to see a different view of strip mining, perhaps a sliver of unexpected beauty in the area, or a view of the Springs from the strip. The lighting is good for a text book example, but light coming over your shoulder is the least appealing light for a dramatic photo. I'd like to see the strip in late evening, or early morning with strong shadows to accentuate the detail. By the way, Hi Dawn!
