About This image (2355) was shot in El Matador (restaurant) in Ballard on 22 June 2006.

They have these funky glass globes on the light fixtures (orange) which, when shot luxagraphically, can be made to look like jellyfish. So I drew some jellyfish.

This image has been resized and shrunk for upload. No other PS work has been done.

I look forward to your questions and comments.

Annemette - Yeah, that's the general concensus: no flames. I'd probably just go back and shoot again. It's easy enough since these lights are in a restaurant close by.

Mmmm this is an adventourous, enchanting photo indeed providing a sense of being down in the deep oceans in the Marianer Grave encountering strange and beautiful creatures. Excellent work.
Only would I personally crop out or clone the flames away.

Nick - Thanks. Here is a shot I did working to create a single, believable jellyfish:

Sorry it took soo long to get to this, and by the looks, I have been missing out. This is a spectacular picture. No crop needed here at all. I love it. May all be well James. Oh, and Happy Halloween :)

Sincerely
Liddo Ray Night

Thanks, Tom. I'll try to post the single jellyfish photograph this week. I'll have to find it again.

Raquel - Thanks. I'm glad you like it. I considered the crop (wasn't sure the luxagraphic fire had a place under the sea). In the end I just posted the untouched image. No special reason. I like your crop. See you around.
