I shot this waterfall at the Chicago Botanical Gardens, it is a great place for getting floral shots. I had orgionally posted this with a heavier green tint but after some honest criticism I have decided to take the advice and move back a bit to a more natural hue. Thanks Paul.
By looking at this, without the details of what F stop and spped u were using. My feel is the top is a little over exposed, and the falling water is out of focus. Maybe its your intension, but I would do it differently. If u happen to be back at this spot again, try with a faster shutter speed. Make adjustments to your aperture or ISO to correct the over exposed thing and fill in flash at the lower part of the fall. Thks.
OK, Assume that you are using Photoshop, follow image>adjustments>Hue/Saturation . in the dialog in the upper part there is a drop-down menu containing "Master" by default, change it to each color channel to fit your request, and you have the control over each channel and they are all independent, take a look at the two color gradient below dialog box, it shows the whole color gradient (upper one) and your saturation control on each part (Lower one). and, keep in mind which every color profile has it own characteristics so you may see different setting i other programs or color profile, so you my want to save the result in JPG using Save As... instead of Save for web so that you can use your own color profile, wish to be helpful. Good work my dear Chad, I think this shot could have been even better, the lighting is not well balanced, thats why you needed to work on hue or saturation, plus (I don't know if you did so or not) you may wanted to change only Greens saturation instead of whole RGB, because we need more yellow and even red here but we missed, the composition is good. regards, Mohammad
