that photo 'away' = i dont think the scanning has anything to do with the focus falling off on the extremes of the frame. whne i shot it was paying attn on the exposure. didnt want it to be too low contrast.
thanks for the bnw help, only concern...its so expensive. lol.
i'd love to show u more of my pictures and learn from u.
and again..thank you . all ur comments make a big difference.

beautiful photograph siva....i love the kids open outstreched palm..a very intense conversation between the most innocent ... very well captured...just wondering how you managed it..it almost seems like they didnt know that they were being photographed!!

thank you for your comments, samuel. well i didnt really consider the top edge of the image...i just thought the interplay and what was happening between the children was strong enough to hold the image together despite its technical drawbacks.
i didnt have to keep the children in place. we were between shots and i had asked the children to take five as i thought they were bored and were losing interes. so the children decided to place themselves in the right place and exchange notes!! i just had to focus and shoot as many frames as i could!

very well done Siddharth,

perfect for the intention of the calendar and a really great depiction of the moment.

agree about it being hot at the top, but i really wonder how it looks in print/on calendar

Siddharth, I like the interplay of the two children very much. Nicely shot. The only issue I have is with the top edge of the shot - it seems to either fade to white, or have a dark sliver (upper right). For me, the image is strong all but the harsh lighting at the top... So, tell me, how did you get them to stay in one place long enough to get the shot off??? :-)
