Great model Paul. What a look she's giving here. The lighting and exposure are perfect, and I really like the light softly reflected from the floor behind Amandas head. Great picture. Sal

Good work Paul. It seems you can get much better results when you have more control of the light. I like the angle.

Thanks, Raquel. The interesting back-story is that this was lit with a 1,000w 4-foot hot light, and not strobes. It was producing such an orange tungsten cast, even when I set my camera for tungsten, that I finally resorted to having her hold a white balance card, and using that as my color reference in Photoshop.
I'm glad you like it!

NJ, that's very perceptive of you. The light source was a 4-foot softbox, but it didn't have a strobe head, it had a 1,000w tungsten lamp. It's used for video lighting, but I wanted to see what kind of softness it would give me.
I had to shoot a white-balance card immediately prior to this shot, as even in auto white balance, my 20D records that softlight way too warm.

Wonerful magic lighting vibes the photo, I'm wondering what did you use as your prime light source - it's not natural and it's deep and diffused, well matching street backighting and the model, heh. Cheers, NJ
