This is brilliant Joggie... love the red here & that black shadow of the lamp really stands out well & I love the crinkled effect caused by the building... the shading works extremely well... the poster edge filter seems a good choice... has worked very well here x

Hi Joggie,
Very good monochromatic photo, good details too. The textures in the metal cladding are great, and add a very realistic feel to an otherwise, seemingly fabricated photo (I know it isn't, and that's what makes it unique, but that was my first impression)
The contrasts in the shadow of the lamp are quite subtle, though. Perhaps too subtle, removing the wavy pattern from it, rendering it a bit too flat, if you see what I mean.
I think the split in the frame by the overlap in the cladding is well dealt with, as the shadow of the lamp obscures it, and in combination with the placement of the lamp, adds to the balance in the composition.

An excellent image, Joggie. I love the colour and abstract black lines and shadows. The composition is good with the light and shadow being on a diagonal line and your post processing is spot on. Another winner, I'm sure. Cheers, Ann.

Unusual to have someone create a red monochrome, just for a photographer to come along. Good seeing of this detail, Joggie! I like the strong contrast and the texures revealed through the red paint.

Glad to see you back on the net, Joggie. Wow, I like this and am impressed with the light poster edge filter and how you used it. I have not found it very useful but it sure does bring out the texture. Really red, which is really appealing.
