Thank evry one for your kind comments. Hi GP, Yes you are so right, i did darken the back ground, and thank you for pointing out the jagged edge, also so for the tools that i could use to fix it. I don't have a problem with constuctive criticism, as you said, we are here to learn form one another. Thanks once again, GP.
Maybe not a great day, but a great portrait, with fine color and composition... The pose and body language really adds to the feeling here... Yes, melancholy, but wonderfully expressive eyes full of wisdom and soul beyond their years... A terrific capture, Ray. Small technical nitpick (isn't that why we're here? ;-)): The slightly jagged edge of the T shirt on his upper left shoulder leads me to wonder if you may have darkened the background in post processing... If you did, you did an excellent job, but I would run a small blur tool over that jagged area to fade it out some, or you could smooth it out a bit by softly clonng the background closer along the edge. If I am wrong, let it be known that I am way off. It's just that that area appears crisper/sharper/jaggedier than the rest of the image to me. Again, outstanding work on this image, Ray.
