Deer have taken a liking to my little garden. I was filming the beets to show how they had been eaten. When the photo came out it included some carrot tops and a variety of weeds. I liked the array of colors so decided to show it here. I might add, friend have given me dozens of sure fire solutions to keep the deer away. So far none have worked. Del.
P.S. In answer to your question, we're living rural. We've been living out in the country in a trailer, waiting for the house we're buying to close. We'll be moving into our house this week! The town we'll be living in is very small and I will be able to walk everywhere without having to drive, which should help me lose those extra few lbs. I gained while traveling! Our only bad experience here were with a nest of yellow jackets. There are bales of hay everywhere. My youngest son and I got the bright idea of, "Let's go see what a bale of hay feels like!" Well, we ended up in a nest of yellow jackets and got stung from head to toe. We both ran back to the trailer as fast as we could. Nat was just screaming. I was hugging him, and it was one of the few times I could tell him, I knew exactly how he felt! I called my husband at work, and he came home and stayed for about 30 minutes to make sure we weren't going to go into shock or something of that sort. We survived the incident, but everytime we see a wasp now, we RUN! We've had lots of good times here too. We live in the Southeastern part of the state with the beautiful trees and rolling hills, just beautiful! Take care, my friend, Carolyn
Yep! I had a girlfriend who had a beautiful garden that was destroyed in a day by the deer. What a dilema! I makes for a pretty picture, but I feel sorry for all the good food you lost! Carolyn
